“HIDDEN BALL UNDER SHEET”

Ian Ferguson’s “Hidden Ball Under Sheet” emphasizes how our earth is a ball and how it is treated. Ferguson depicts his relationship to the ball and how he views it through his mutated characters called “herm-trogladites”. Every piece in the show involves a ball and how the herm’s try to grasp ancient knowledge and wisdom from it. Piece’s like “Deformed Ball”, “Ball Scramble”, and “Ball Interception” will be installed among the 13 total pieces in this imaginative solo show. New Ambient Solo Project

Calidonia County

Calidonia County is the solo conceptual home/mobile ambient recording project started in the Fall of 2012 during a family reunion in Vermont. The music was conceived as a form of spiritual therapy due to a forced life changing period of intense strife and misfortune. Some of the first recordings were made at a hotel and in a plane to Chicago. The music is intentionally made for relaxtion, deep thought, solo travel, headphones, making art, focusing, meditation, and psychedelic experiences.

The first album”Ryegate” will Debut on BARO Records December 2012.

“Conscious Cleansing”

“Conscious Cleansing” 40″X30″ (acrylic+paint pens on canvas)

In this most recent depiction, set on an icy shelf, Lake Michigan in a winter ice phase. Frozen waves shelfing themselves. A struggle of inward duality over good and evil,  the minds constant battles throughout life.  We find sometimes that to realize things we have to suffer and others make us aware of what were doing wrong or praise us for things we do right. The two anti-Herms hoover with butterfly wings and eight limbs to support there grotesque movements as they battle themselves, resolving inner conflicts. Each Herm has an anti-herm. The anti-Herm manipulates its specimen
, breaking open the spires,  spurting it’s black oil in an conscious cleaning act to the face of the other Herm. Nasty old Russian herm woman on the beach would take oversized trash bags to the lake and capture seagulls and urban birds to barbeque.

The Herms depicted in the most recent vision are nearing their spiritual confirmation from the holy father seen on the left, drizzled with gold lavish necklaces and fabrics made of only the finest velvet+satin, laced upon his globen tunic. The two holy slave-devotees lace his body with even more gold dousings of shine and brilliance, all the while holy followers break into trances of hope and healing, flailing their arms in the air as if the holy ghost as entered them.. An undeserving herm tending a small holy flame suddenly and unofficially accepts a gust of billowing spiritual smoke from the lords holy flame, engulfing every breathing hole in his face. Another herm between the two houses spits seaman from his bishop hat as an appreciative gesture of faith.  Once a bongo drummer, not any more, sticks waving desperately in the air as the grey faced anti-herm intrudes on the spiritual gathering.  The stubby tweener herm reaching to the sky for answers from the good lord, along side, below, as the pandimonium unfolds in the eyes of the desperate peachy hatted herm soaking a scarf in a bucket of urine. Another anti-herm lingers behind the empty staircase leading into a now tree, from once before someones home.
